Our Name
Eirene (pronounced eye-REE-nee) is the ancient Greek goddess of peace. In Greek mythology, Eirene was one of the Horae, guardians of order and the natural rhythm of life. She was often depicted holding an olive branch, a symbol of calm, hope, and renewal, reminding us that peace creates the conditions for abundance and well-being to flourish.
At Eirene Home, we are dedicated to creating meaningful spaces that embody this symbolism intentionally. We believe that when a home is thoughtfully arranged and organized, it restores not just physical space but also clarity, dignity, and freedom. In times of transition, the process of home decluttering can feel overwhelming. Our role is to provide steadiness, compassion, and practical support.

Our Background
Karin Hoernig provides calm, thoughtful guidance to individuals and families navigating transition — whether adapting to an empty nest, downsizing, preparing for a move, or intentionally curating belongings for the future. Her focus on creating meaningful spaces helps clients find clarity and ease in their environments.
Home decluttering and organizing did not come naturally to Karin; she learned through personal experiences. Having lived in three Canadian provinces, she understands firsthand how transitions require choices — what to release, what to carry forward, and how to thoughtfully adapt a home to a new chapter with intention. Each move meant re-imagining storage, routines, and space.
With more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources leadership, Karin also brings expertise in people-centred strategy and change management. She knows that meaningful change is never simply logistical — it requires patience, empathy, and steady leadership.
